Fragile But Treat With Care
In this piece, I capture the tenderness and responsibility that comes with handling fragility. The image of two hands gently cupping an egg symbolises a womb an intimate space of protection, nurturing, and life itself. As a woman and an artist with partial vision, I have experienced both the strength and vulnerability of womanhood. Some understand this fragility and choose to treat it with care, just as hands instinctively shield something delicate from harm. This is the kind of fragility that isn’t a weakness but a reminder that what is precious should be cherished.

Not all fragility is met with care. In this image, a hand loosely grasps an egg between two fingers casual, indifferent, almost careless. This represents the reality many women face: being treated at the convenience of others, without thought for the weight they carry. The balance here is unsettling, yet familiar. As an artist who navigates the world with limited vision, I often notice how inclusion, like care, is left to choice rather than duty. And in that uncertainty, so much is at risk.

Fragile but Don’t Treat with Care
Here, the egg rests vulnerably on an open palm, unsupported, unprotected, left to whatever fate awaits. Some fragility is met with disregard, as if resilience is the only expectation. As a woman, I have seen and felt this where softness is mistaken for insignificance, and care is withheld as though it is undeserved. But even in its vulnerability, the egg remains. And so do we. Through my art, I explore these realities, hoping that in seeing, others will choose to care.
